Antique Humpty Dumpty egg crate made by Gummer Mfg Co. Cadillac, MI with a patent date of February 17, 1903. The crate is sturdy, has its original handle and cardboard egg divider inserts. Minor wear can be see to the wood, as one would expect from a piece this old. The top lid slides to the side and can be easily removed and the handle is secure and when the lid is secured in place can hold the crate appropriately. The cardboard egg dividers are in decent shape but there is wear, paper loss and a couple holes. Each divider layer holds 36 eggs and there are four layers (we believe it is missing one cardboard layer and should have five instead of four). The wear issues do not detract from the overall display appeal. Measures approximately 13" square.
