First in a large format series, “Response I” in many ways embodies the namesake. Responding takes time and requires gathering information, processing and integrating this into a bigger scope of understanding. This painting is my response to my series “Spin” as well as a work of response in and of itself. Watching, listening, and responding to each change in composition, it is a work of practicing mindfulness and presence.
